Hailing from Singapore, Yang Zhi (Yang) is an International Business major with a minor in Ethnic Studies at the University of California, San Diego. He is involved with UC San Diego's Undergraduate Investment Society and Student Foundation Investment Fund.

As a budding entrepreneur, Yang ran a social enterprise at the age of 15, raising $250,000 from a Citibank seed fund of $1,600 for the financially underprivileged. Later, while serving in the military, he innovated a security device that is currently used in every Singapore airbase and at national, regional, and international summits — such as the ASEAN Summit and the North-Korea United States Singapore Summit. Prior to college, he started an audio start-up, ZerestAudio, that aims to provide affordable in-ear headphones of superior sound quality and lasting build quality. With experience in various forms of entrepreneurship, Yang is currently passionate about analyzing businesses and helping companies grow.

In his free time, Yang enjoys athletic precision shooting and scuba diving.
