Parker is an Economics and Chinese dual major and Huntsman Scholar at Utah State University. Parker also studied Chinese at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan as a U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholar. Prior to joining UGF, Parker worked in corporate strategy at Pluralsight, a SaaS tech skills learning and engineering intelligence platform. While developing a company-wide strategy for the executive team and BoD, he led a detailed analysis of customer use cases and value drivers that allowed the company to organize, prioritize, and measure success according to customers’ specific jobs to be done. Previously, Parker worked in international trade consulting at World Trade Center Utah. He led a case that created a successful export strategy for a consumer packaged goods startup, designed a three-day trade mission connecting an Indian delegation to key government and industry leaders, and hosted a Chinese delegation from the Chinese International Import Expo. Parker has extensive international leadership and service experience including as a student ambassador to Taiwan at the Taiwan - U.S. Sister Relations Alliance, a global experience video correspondent for the U.S. Department of State’s Gilman Program, and a Chinese-speaking representative for the Church of Jesus Christ’s England Leeds Mission. The son of a police officer and an elementary school teacher, Parker values service and wants to use his unique skills to lift others and drive positive outcomes. Outside of work he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.
