Kristie graduated with a Juris Doctorate from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in April 2021. During law school, she mainly focused on corporate law and emerging companies.

She joined University Growth Fund in May 2020 after winning first place in UGF's 2019 Utah Venture Capital Case Competition, which took place over 7 weeks and involved 130 students from 4 universities. She was then awarded the Roth Scholarship in the Fall of 2020 as an outstanding associate at the fund.

Following her law school graduation, she joined the legal team at Cricut, Inc. as a Junior Corporate Counsel where she advised the company on legal strategies regarding international expansion, assisted in the IPO of the company, negotiated and managed major contracts, and such. She still loves connecting with entrepreneurs and investors and maintains a strong interest in venture as she continues to perform consulting work for a fintech startup on matters such as the implementation of operations technology, product development, fundraising, and etc.

Kristie speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese fluently as a result of her international upbringing. In her free time, Kristie enjoys traveling, hiking, baking, and spending time with friends.
