Kael studied Quantitative Analysis of Markets and Organizations in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He completed an emphasis in Financial Analysis, and earned a certificate in Global Health through study in Ghana in summer 2020. Kael was very active on campus, working as a strategy consultant for the Adthing agency and participating in the University Honors program.

Prior to UGF, Kael held internships in a variety of industrial sectors. While interning with Sunroc Corp he led the budget estimate on the SLC Temple utility remodel, and while interning for Miro Industries he was listed as an inventor and designer on one utility patent and two trademarks. In 2018 Kael was chosen as one of 160 US Presidential Scholars, and has twice been invited to meet the President in Washington D.C. Kael spent four months learning and serving in Guayaquil Ecuador, and speaks passable Spanish.

When not studying or working, Kael enjoys skiing, family time, his favorite podcasts, and competitive cooking shows.
