John is currently a candidate for a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Science in Finance at the University of Utah expecting to graduate in the Spring of 2020. He is a graduate of BYU with a degree in political science. Last Summer, John was an analyst at Alan Glenn Private Equity, working through governing documents to produce valuations for secondary shares in growth stage companies. He has a passion for venture capital and is looking to start a career in the field.

Outside of studying Law and Finance, John is the Vice President of the Utah Student Bar Association, the National Policy Director for the Law Student Council on Legislative Reform, and an officer in the Quinney Chess Club at the SJ Quinney College of Law. John also has spent many hours doing pro bono legal work in Downtown Salt Lake City.

When not studying or volunteering, John spends his time skiing, rock climbing, playing basketball, watching BYU football and basketball games, writing music, and watching Netflix.
