Ethan is completing an MA in Musicology at Brigham Young University. He has been involved in evaluating deals in sectors such as B2B SaaS, education technology, and cloud services. Before joining University Growth Fund he was involved in BYU's impact investing initiative. He also co-founded Initium Healthcare (now Neonatal Rescue), a student-run startup focused on developing a low-cost newborn ventilator for the developing world that has won over $75K in business-competition funding. He graduated with a BMus in Classical Guitar Performance and a BA in German from BYU. He enjoys the fast pace of working with startups and intends to pursue a career in venture capital after graduation.

He loves reading, and his favorite literature includes Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Curious Case of Charles Dexter Ward. Some of his other passions include camping, hiking, practicing Historical European Martial Arts, and trying to perfect his sauerkraut recipe.
